Idaho Wine Tours for Boise State Alumni and Friends

Idaho Wine Tours exclusively offers our members a 10% discount on all wine tours.  This is a fantastic way to support Idaho wineries and learn more about our growing wine industry.  These tours are fun, safe, educational and include a family-style lunch at Parma Ridge Winery to start the afternoon. Everyone is welcome on the tours — not only members!  Member and non-member rates apply.  All members must present their membership cards to Idaho Wine Tours on the day of the tour.

Spring 2017 Tours

Parma Ridge, Huston Vineyards, Koenig Vineyards and Hells Canyon

These tours will depart from the new Alumni and Friends Center at 11 a.m. and return to the Alumni and Friends Center no later than 5 p.m.  To ensure a safe outing, please consider rides and alternative methods of transportation to and from the Alumni and Friends Center. Complimentary parking is available for wine tour participants.

Each tour will operate one bus that accommodates ten passengers, and possibly two buses for twenty if Boise State alumni and friends fill the seats up as quickly as we expect.Cost includes all food, wine tastings and tips. Wine bottles are available for purchase at the wineries. Space is limited — must be 21 years of age to participate. Learn more about each winery below.

Tour Information

Alumni Association Members: $72 per person (Bring a valid membership card to be reimbursed $8 on the day of the tour.)
Nonmembers: $80 per person
Time: 11 a.m.–5 p.m.

Complimentary lunch

  • Provided by Parma Ridge chef and winemaker Storm Hodge
  • Walnut crusted brie
  • Tossed salad
  • Grilled chicken flatbread with black cherry BBQ sauce
  • Vegetarian flatbread: mozzarella and garlic oil, smoked bleu cheese, sautéed pears with honey and butter, spicy pecans topped with fresh arugula and balsamic reduction
  • Rosemary truffle fries with mesquite aioli

About the Wineries

Parma Ridge (established 1998)

The tasting rooms offers a variety of estate wines, a full lunch menu from scratch, private parties with custom menus, and a beautiful vineyard space for events.  The winemaker, Storm Hodge, is a chef by trade and eager to engage your senses with the combination of both wine and food. Huston Vineyards (established 2006)

Hells Canyon Vineyards

Hells Canyon Vineyards produces all hand-crafted, grown and bottled wines from the beautiful Snake River Valley of Idaho.  It is the oldest Idaho vineyard for wine grapes and was founded in 1981 on the sunny slope above the banks of the Snake River, overlooking the Owyhee Mountains.
