This program features limited-release, custom labeled wines which were hand selected by alumni and industry experts in a blind tasting.
Priority purchasing is available first to alumni association lifetime members and then annual members. In addition to priority purchasing, members receive an exclusive discount price, up to $3 per bottle.
2017 WINE COLLECTION
For our second collection, we are proud to partner with Telaya Wine Co. and Cinder Wines, two local Idaho wineries recently selected by Boise State alumni at a blind tasting. Be sure to visit these wineries in their new and updated locations and check out the ways both Telaya and Cinder give back to our local community.
The beautiful custom labels were designed by local alumna Kylie Holm ’12. Proceeds from our Wine Collection assist in sustaining the Boise State Alumni Association and our programs.
2015 * Commemorate
Our Commemorate wine honors the first class to graduate from Boise State University with a four-year degree. A toast to the class of 1967 — Cheers!
2016 Idaho Winery of the Year
Telaya Wine Co. was founded as a way to blend the love of family and friends with the enjoyment of wine. Owners and winemakers, Earl and CarrieSullivan, focus on providing hand-crafted high quality wine combined with unmatched customer hospitality. Believing in spotlighting the varietals that both states produce, the Sullivan’s are proud to acquire grapes from Red Mountain and Yakima in Washington and the Sunnyslope Wine Region in Idaho.
2015 * Milestone
Our Milestone wine honors the 50th anniversary of the Boise State Alumni Association. Celebrate 50 years of connecting alumni and friends around the globe, and here’s to 50 more — Cheers!
Wine Press Northwest Awards Winner
Cinder explores the best of what is possible in the Snake River Valley and is glad to be a part of the next great American wine region! Most recently, winemaker Melanie Krause was recognized by Wine Enthusiast in their “40 under 40” honors as the “Emerging Wine Region Champion.”
KYLIE HOLM ’12
In Kylie’s travels from the mountains of Northern California, she has observed wine’s ability to bring people together. Living in South America, she was struck by how wine bridged gaps between people diverse in culture and language. Another great Idaho winery, Periple, officially introduced her to the wine industry while she was in college. Although she took a different career path upon graduation, she could never quite stray from wine and its connective qualities.
Today Kylie works for Earl’s other business, E2S Consulting. Here, she works with global clients in the pharmaceutical space while contributing to Idaho’s local economy through The CORE, the non-profit they manage. However, she is never too far from Telaya’s operations–she designs the winery’s marketing materials, from t-shirts to our website. You may even see her working events where all hands are on deck!
