It doesn’t matter whether you’re visiting us from the Treasure Valley or from across the globe — you’re always welcome home!

Has this happened to you? You’ve planned a great vacation, business trip or quick travel. And then, you realize it coincides with Bronco gameday! This requirement is part of an agreement the Alumni Association has to adhere to in keeping in regulation with policy related to the sale of alcohol. However, we’re providing plenty of opportunities for attendees to win free game tickets in addition to the other prizes provided at the event. No Matter What You Think About Organic Food, You’re Wrong

Wednesday, Nov. 7

Time: Noon–1:30 p.m.
Location: Alumni and Friends Center
Cost:
Free

Every time we go to the grocery store, we must decide whether to buy a “regular” apple or to pay a little extra for that “organic” apple. For many of us, this decision is based on whether or not we think organic food is somehow healthier than food that is conventionally grown. Unfortunately, despite many strong feelings on both sides, scientific evidence is lacking to fully support either view. During this free presentation, Dr. Curl, Ph.D. will clarify the meaning of the organic label and describe the state of the science regarding the health benefits of organic food. Cynthia Curl studies the intersection between agriculture and human health with a primary focus on understanding human exposure to agricultural pesticides. Dr. Curl founded and directs Boise State University‘s Agricultural Health Lab and serves as the Director of the Center for Excellence in Environmental Health & Safety.
