The Rainy City Broncos Alumni Chapter welcomes alumni, friends, and fans who live in SW Washington and Central & NW Oregon.Broncos from Clark and Skamania counties in Washington and Oregon fans who live anywhere from the coast to The Dalles, from Portland down to Roseburg and across to Bend are invited to participate with this chapter.

If you want to see our chapter become official, we need you to sign a petition stating that you want a chapter in the area! The easiest way to ensure that there are activities and events to participate in is to email chapter president Brenda Thorpe '01 at thorpe.brenda@gmail.com. Subject line- "Rainy City Broncos Chapter" and in the body of the email write "Please add my electronic signature to the Chapter petition." One quick email is all it takes!

Lincoln City Fun Run and BBQ in the Sand
Wear your Blue and Orange and we'll run/walk together!
When: June 21, 2008 (Race starts at 8:30 a.m., Grill Time 11:00 a.m.)
What: Ocean's Edge 5K Beach Race and BSU Alumni BBQ
Where: Beach by D River Wayside and Kyllo's Restaurant (1110 NW 1st Ct., Lincoln City, OR 97367)
Cost: $15 for race; $25 for race and t-shirt. Add $5 for day-of-race registration

BBQ Details: Following the Ocean's Edge Run we will gather on the beach for a little fun in the sun and sand.
Location: on the beach by the race finish line. Look for the Blue and Orange as we are not able to reserve a section of the beach.
Details: We ask that anyone coming bring whatever you want to grill, a side dish to share, and your own drinks. We'll fire up the grill at 11:00 or as soon as the race finishes. Bring the kids, the kites, and the beach toys.

  • April 22, 2008: Chapter leadership collected items to send to soldiers in Iraq.
  • February 29, 2008: Volunteers got together to create Chapter bylaws and elect leaders.
  • January 31, 2008: Initial Chapter Informational Meeting held in Portland
