Alumni Center

New Alumni Center Project Summary

The Alumni Center will serve as the home for all university advancement, allowing the Alumni Association, the Boise State Foundation, University Development and Marketing Communications to work closely together in efforts to advance Boise State University. A freestanding, independently-owned alumni center will strengthen the ability of all organizations to more effectively fulfill their uniques missions. The degree of autonomy that a private alumni center provides will ensure a legal and professional environment that enhances the ability of both the Boise State Foundation and the Alumni Association to protect and promote our valuable assets.

In addition to privately-owned office space, nearly half of the building will be dedicated to impressive spaces for events and public use. A grand ballroom will be included for alumni awards banquet, donor dinners, pre-game excitement, and more. There will also be comfortable mid-sized event spaces displaying memorabilia and historical Boise State items and a spacious living room with couches, comrotable chairs, and a grand fireplace, all designed to give alumni and guests a "home" during visits to campus. When not utilized for Boise State activities, the space will be available for rent by the community which will generate revenue for operating expenses. The building design includes potential space available for lease.

This is more than a construction project or just another campus building, this is the cration of a home. Alumni pride and enthusiasm for the University are at all time highs as academic, athletic, and arts programs enjoy unprecedented success. Now is the time to move forward on this important project. By building the new Alumni Center, we pay homage to Boise State's history, highlight its successes and its growth, and honor the people who make Boise State a place of character and excellence. This building–this Alumni Center—will celebrate our heritage as we build toward our future.

"We know that in this day and age public universities need private funds to be successful. This new center will be the bridge for future donations to BSU." – Allen Dykman, Boise State alumnus and donor
