2005 -2010 Strategic Plan
Since 1967, the Boise State Alumni Association has helped thousands of alumni and friends maintain a relationship with Boise State University. Throughout its history, the alumni association has adapted to the ever-changing needs of a metropolitan university and its growing constituent base.
In response to new and emerging circumstances, the alumni association had developed our next five-year goals and objectives. It moves beyond what has worked in the past and encourages bold, new initiatives that support Boise State University and assisting with its aspiration of becoming a metropolitan research university of distinction. It invests in the people who will make our goals happen; alumni, students, friends and other members of the campus community.
The strategic goals of our plan are as follows:
STRENGTHEN OUR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM
Great universities are measured by the loyalty and support of alumni. As an alumni association, we aspire to be recognized among the best. A strong membership program is one way to measure success. Our association desires to make our membership program more accessible to larger numbers of alumni. We also must make serving our members a focus of our efforts.
ESTABLISH CAMPUS CONNECTIONS
Our campus is alive with opportunities for alumni and students to establish connections. The alumni association will partner with other campus entities to promote involvement among many constituents. We will also actively work to establish, maintain and promote campus traditions.
INFORM AND INVOLVE OUR CONSTITUENTS
We will create meaningful opportunities for alumni, friends and Bronco fans to remain connected with Boise State. Additionally, we will work to tell the unfolding Boise State story to our constituents. Through communication and involvement, the alumni association will support Boise State by growing a loyal and generous base.
ENHANCE THE HEALTH OF THE ORGANIZATION
Our goals cannot be reached without careful consideration of the organization's resources, leaders, and future space needs. From data management, to financial reserves, to staff, to our physical presence on campus, we must proactively continue smart growth.
