Board Nomination Information:


The Boise State Alumni Board of Directors is comprised of up to 30 Voting members and Five officers: President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Each officer is elected for a one-year term. Up to 20 directors are elected for staggered three-year terms. Five presidential nominees are appointed for one-year terms. Honorary Directors (nonvoting) - BAA representative, Foundation representative, Emeriti member, Past Presidents Council representative, SAA President, ASBSU president, and chapter representatives.

Board Requirements:


Directors are required to: Maintain current dues paying status in the Boise State Alumni Association. Regularly attend all quarterly board of directors meetings. Actively participate on at least one Association board committee.

Board Expectations:


Directors are elected to represent the membership of the Boise State Alumni Association and to effectively govern the Association. Directors are also expected to be informed about the issues affecting the BSUAA and the University, and to support BSUAA programs and events. Additionally, directors should be unfaltering in their loyalty toward Boise State University. They shall openly support their alma mater by honoring its rich history, and actively promoting its mission.

Board Elections:


The nominating committee accepts names and background information of potential directors by the end of February of each year. The committee screens applications and presents a slate of directors and officers to the board for approval at its annual meeting in May. The 1st vice president (or incoming president) submits a slate of five one-year members for board approval at the annual meeting.
